Support

A real person reads this. Tell us what happened.

Pitta is made by a small team in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. There is no ticket maze and no bot to get past — mail us, or message the Pitta channel inside the app.

When something has gone wrong, tell us the phone number on the account, what you were doing, and what you expected instead. A screenshot settles most things in one reply.

Signing in

My code hasn't arrived

Codes are delivered over WhatsApp to the number you typed. Check that the number is right, including the country code, and that WhatsApp on that phone has a connection. If it still hasn't come, wait a minute and ask again — then mail us the number and we will look at the delivery from our side.

I changed my phone

Sign in on the new phone with the same number. Pitta keeps one device signed in at a time, so the old phone signs out by itself and its cached copy is cleared. Right after signing in you will be offered your Google Drive backup — choose Restore to bring your chats across.

I don't have my old number any more

Your account is the number, so we cannot move it for you. Mail us before you lose access if you can; once a number is reassigned by the operator, whoever holds it can sign in to a fresh account on it.

Chats and backup

Where are my messages kept?

On your phone. Our servers hold a message only long enough to deliver it — two days by default, or whatever the channel has set — and then delete it.

How do I back them up?

Settings → Chat backup. The file goes to a folder in your own Google Drive; Pitta never receives it and the app can only see the files it created there. Restore is offered right after you sign in on a new phone.

A verification code vanished from my chat

That is deliberate. A login code disappears when it expires, and is never written into a backup — a backup file full of live codes is a dangerous thing to leave lying in a Drive.

I don't want codes from a channel

Open the chat, use the menu, and choose Block verification codes. Be careful with a channel you actually log in to: the next time you sign in there, the code will not arrive. The same menu switches them back on.

Orders

Where is my order?

The order card in your chat shows its current step: placed, accepted, packed, out for delivery, completed. The shop moves it along, and the rider's name and number appear when the shop adds them. Anything about the goods themselves — a delay, a wrong item, a return — is between you and that shop, and the fastest way to settle it is to reply in the same thread.

What I was charged doesn't match the checkout

Send us the order and a screenshot. Pitta does not take a cut of a shop's order, but if the app quoted you one number and charged another, that is our bug and we want it.

Cancelling

Ask the shop in the thread. Until an order is accepted, most shops will cancel it on the spot.

Gift cards

My card hasn't arrived

Cards are issued by our voucher partner and land in your chat with the brand, usually within a few minutes. If a card cannot be issued, the payment is refunded automatically — refunds retry for up to seven days and land back on the method you paid with. Mail us the payment reference if one has not.

How do I use it?

The card message carries the code, the PIN, the expiry and the brand's own redemption instructions. Redeem it in that brand's app or website, not in Pitta.

The brand rejected my card

Send us the card message and what the brand said. We take it up with the issuer.

Your account

Delete it

Settings → Delete account, in the app. The screen lists exactly what goes and what has to stay before you confirm, and it is immediate. What deletion does, in detail.

What Pitta knows about me

Less than you would expect: your number, which channels you follow, your orders, and messages still inside their retention window. Your name, photo and about text never leave your phone. The whole of it is in the privacy policy.

A channel is bothering me

Unfollow it. On Pitta that is the end of it — a channel you have unfollowed cannot message you again, and it cannot reach you through a reply either. If it is doing something worse than annoying, tell us.

Running a channel

How much does it cost?

Nothing. No packages, no per-message fee, no fee on your orders. Pitta earns when a customer buys a discounted brand gift card, and that is the whole business model.

How many channels can I have?

Up to ten on one account.

My customers can't find me in Explore

Explore lists verified channels only. Until you are verified, your channel works exactly the same for anyone you send your link to — it simply is not advertised to strangers.

I want my own website address

Every channel already has one at yourname.pitta.pro. To use a domain you own, set it in the app under the channel's website settings and point the DNS where we tell you.

I want my own system to send the messages

Use the Business API. Keys and webhooks are under Channel → Developer.

Verification

A verified tick means we checked a real registration against the name on the channel — a GST number, a Udyam registration, a company number, a domain you control, or a document. Start it from the channel's settings; we review and answer.

Two things worth knowing before you apply: a verified channel cannot be renamed or re-categorised afterwards, because the tick is attached to the name we checked. And verification is what unlocks Explore listing and the ability to send authentication codes.

Report a problem

  • A channel breaking the rulesSpam, a fake shop, someone else's brand, content that should not be on the platform — mail hello@pitta.pro with the channel name and a screenshot. We can suspend a channel, and we do.
  • A security issueMail us with the details and how to reproduce it, and give us a reasonable window to fix it before telling anyone else. We will credit you if you want the credit.
  • A bug in the appTell us the phone, the Android version and what you tapped. The app's version number is at the bottom of Settings.
